Carers can steer and stop the powerchair without being in the seat, minimising the risk of collisions and falls. The controller’s responsive Bluetooth link ensures real-time adjustments, which is crucial for users with limited balance. This safety boost benefits both the wheelchair user and the support team.

Users gain greater freedom when a carer can adjust direction or speed from a short distance, allowing them to stay engaged in activities without constant physical assistance. The device supports occupational therapy goals of increased autonomy and community participation. Independence also translates to higher satisfaction and quality of life.

Remote operation reduces the physical strain on caregivers, freeing them to attend to other tasks while maintaining control of the wheelchair. This efficiency improves staffing ratios in aged-care facilities and aligns with NDIS funding objectives for supportive technologies. The controller’s lightweight design makes it easy to store and transport.
