Magnetic hand‑grasp aid restoring daily independence

Tactee is the world’s first magnetic assistive device that restores hand‑grasp function for people with mono or bilateral grasp deficits. The system consists of a hand‑grasping element with three strong magnets, flexible joints and a secure attachment strap, allowing easy connection of a range of daily‑living tools.

The complete kit is offered in Small, Medium or Large sizes and includes specialised cutlery, a universal adapter, bottle holder, dorsal pads and a protective storage case. All components are made in Italy, are dishwasher‑safe (cushion removable), and can be fitted for right‑ or left‑hand use under professional supervision.

Key Features

The Tactee system uses three strong magnets positioned with flexible joints to provide a secure, yet easily releasable, attachment to the hand. The magnetic coupling allows rapid tool changes and a strong grip for functional activities. The device is manufactured in Italy and is available in Small, Medium and Large sizes.

Tools and Accessories

  • Fork, Spoon & Knife: Injection‑moulded stainless steel and polycarbonate, angle adjustable with a bending iron, suitable for right or left hand and dishwasher safe.
  • Universal Adapter: Connects to toothbrushes, razors, pens or other items using magnetic inserts; usable with any grasping element size.
  • Bottle Holder: Velcro strap fits most bottles or cups; right‑ or left‑hand compatible.
  • Pads: Pair of soft foam dorsal pads for pressure‑sensitive users, easily detachable.
  • Black Storage Case: Foam interior with pre‑cut cubbies for each accessory; accessories can be purchased separately.

  • First use and adjustment must be performed by a qualified health professional.
  • Correct size selection is essential for functional effect.
  • Patients with a pacemaker must not use the device due to magnetic fields.
  • Do not modify components without professional supervision.
  • If skin is broken, irritated or inflamed, contact a physician.
  • Device is for single‑patient personal use only; do not share.
  • Do not use if damaged; replace and dispose of malfunctioning parts.
  • All parts can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher (remove cushion before dishwasher).

Sizing and Kit Options

The grasping element is offered in three sizes – Small, Medium and Large – measured around the MCP joints. The complete kit includes the grasping element, cutlery, adapter, bottle holder, pads and storage case. Individual accessories are also available for separate purchase.
