It combines a 7°‑to‑37° rearward tilt, a 10° forward tilt, a reduced‑shear backrest with lockable recline, and adjustable seat dimensions, all on a robust 85 kg platform capable of safely supporting 160 kg.
Designed for home‑care, nursing facilities and hospitals, the chair offers interchangeable pressure‑care overlays, angle‑adjustable footplate, dropdown armrests for transfers, and braked castors for secure room‑to‑room or vehicle transport.

Clinical Fit and Intended Use
The Advance is recommended for home care, nursing facilities and hospitals. It is suitable for users who are non‑ambulant, have limited knee extension, hip stiffness, contractures, stroke, neurological conditions, or require complex postural support. The chair can be used for room‑to‑room, vehicle, aircraft or outdoor transport after a suitability and safety risk assessment.
Tilt‑in‑Space and Recline Features
The electric tilt‑in‑space mechanism moves the seat from 7° to 37° rearward, helping redistribute pressure. A 10° forward tilt assists users to exit the chair, but the footplate must be removed before use and the chair must not be moved while in forward tilt. The backrest reclines from 90° to 130° and includes a lockout slide for controlled posture.
Adjustable Seating and Backrest
Seat width ranges from 350 mm to 550 mm (350 mm available with dropdown armrests). Seat depth adjusts between 422 mm and 550 mm, and seat height can be set from 325 mm to 525 mm, with a standard overall height of 1300 mm. The reduced‑shear backrest is lockable, and a multi‑adjustable pillow backrest can be removed or replaced with a postural backrest for added trunk support.
Transfer Support and Footplate
Dropdown armrests aid side transfers and sling access. The supplied footplate is both angle‑adjustable and height‑adjustable, providing safer lower‑limb positioning. A continuous seat overlay offers thigh support, and the chair includes a riser function for easier transfers.
Pressure Care Options
The chair uses vapor‑permeable fabric on the seat base, leg rest, backrest and armrests. Pressure‑care options include a standard visco‑foam cushion, a self‑supply cushion cut‑out (approximately 438 × 438 × 75 mm), and the Elata alternating‑air powered cushion (Code E600C) for enhanced pressure management.
